• Born and raised in New Orleans, Mark Glaviano received a BFA in Studio Art from
Louisiana State University in May of 2001. He returned to New Orleans shortly after
Hurricane Katrina in early 2006 and joined the ranks of some of the city's premier advertising agencies,
working as both a video editor and visual effects artist on regional and national brands including
Snickers and Patron Tequila.
• Concurrently, he began a series of ironwork studies, and New Orleans-themed
nocturnal photographs. With location and lighting concepts in mind, Mark began developing
a portfolio of portraiture and fashion, combining an edgy punk rock vibe and alternative models
with the urban ruins of a post-Katrina New Orleans. His photography has since been published
numerous times both regionally and nationally.
